Lorna has worked in academic libraries for nearly 20 years and is actively engaged with both the national and international library community. Lorna is currently a Director and Honorary Treasurer of the Library Association of Ireland and a member of the National Committee for the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) World Library & Information Congress 2020.
Lorna has a Masters in Library & Information Studies (MLIS) and has presented at many national and international conferences and published widely in the areas of Information Literacy and Library Service Provision.
