· You are a young adult, 22 years or younger on 1st January 2025
· You do not meet the existing entry requirements to college (higher education)
· You already qualify for college, but you aren’t ready to commit
· You want to create a portfolio of art work, or develop your academic skills
You will take a core class called Skills for Higher Education. This will prepare you for higher education, with an introduction to academic writing, research and study skills.
This is a part-time course. You will have on average 3-6 hours of classes over two days per week from September 2025 – June 2026.
Timetables will vary depending on class choice.
For young adults who have experienced socio-economic or educational disadvantage.
You don’t need a Leaving Certificate or another qualification to apply.
You will need to provide documentation as evidence of what you state in your application.
Funding will cover tuition fees and provide additional support, including:
Students may also receive department of social welfare payments such as the Back to Education Allowance.
