Photography + Visual Media: Evanna Devine
Graduate, Evanna Devine, has gone on to build an exciting early career, exhibiting nationally, securing competitive residencies, and working with major galleries and publications – all while crediting IADT as the place that shaped her practice and opened the door to real opportunities.
“Since leaving IADT, my graduate project Quiet Fighters was exhibited at Photo Museum Ireland and was part of PhotoIreland’s TLP Edition as a solo publication. I have been awarded the Early Career Artist Award from Photo Museum Ireland, PhotoIreland’s RADAR Research Residency, and was selected for the Canon Student Development Programme. Most recently, I was awarded a studio residency at the International Center for the Image to research and develop a new body of work.”
“Alongside my artist residencies, I have worked full-time as a commercial photographer, undertaking commissions with leading galleries such as IMMA, the Douglas Hyde Gallery, and Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, as well as contributing to publications including The Wall Street Journal and The Irish Times.
IADT has played such an important role in shaping my career and artistic voice. The ongoing support, mentorship, and belief shown by the college and its lecturers have continued to encourage my practice well beyond graduation.”
