Guest Speaker: David Gillick, Olympian visits IADT
IADT Certificate in Sport Psychology graduate (Class of 2016/2017), David Gillick, visited our campus last Wednesday night (1st February 2023) for a special, in-person, talk and Q&A session. The visit was arranged by Dr Olivia Hurley for her Certificate in Sport Psychology 2022/2023 class.
It was a wonderful night, with David sharing his very brave athletic and post-retirement life journey. David spoke very honestly and openly about his sport and life experiences, including his most difficult challenges as well as his greatest successes.
It was a privilege for all present to hear him speak. Our thanks to David for being so generous with his time, for the second time this academic year as we had also welcomed him into our BSc (Hons) Applied Psychology Year 2 Sport and Performance Psychology class back in December 2022 of this current academic year.
Our sincere thanks to David and very best wishes with his future endeavours and look forward to welcoming him back to IADT again very soon.
