IADT Awarded grant of €3.6 million to support Research and Innovation
This funding will enable IADT to achieve maturity as a research performing institution, one that brings together teaching, research, and engagement, and challenges IADT to meet demanding targets and support research with purpose and impact.

Elevate has created new opportunities for IADT academics and researchers to work with industry, through targeted workshops and training, collaborative projects, funding supports, and showcases of academic and creative work.
Speaking at the launch, David Smith President, IADT said: “As a hub for innovation, IADT is a space where ideas evolve and creativity flourishes. The ELEVATE programme is a reflection of that mission: designed to support the research and academic community and regional enterprises as they push boundaries, develop new skills, and connect with peers and mentors across disciplines.”
The programme will also recruit three Post-Doctoral Fellows and three Masters by Research students. Following a collaborative agreement with Maynooth University, two PhD candidates, the first for IADT, are currently being co-supervised between academics in IADT and Maynooth. This represents IADT’s desire to provide new opportunities for creative and impactful research projects.
