FINDINGS VI: A Symposium Celebrating Scholarly Research at IADT
Findings VI will be IADT’s sixth interdisciplinary-symposium celebrating excellence in undergraduate research. The keynote address will be given by IADT alumna, Oonagh Young, and the event will be hosted by the National Film School, Tuesday 3rd June, 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Findings VI is open to all students, staff, and members of the public. It offers students a platform to share the colourful and provocative research ‘findings’ that has informed their theses and is a celebration of the intrinsic value of scholarly research to the disciplines of film, art, design, media, animation, photography, visual culture, humanities, and creative technologies. This day-long symposium will showcase scholarly research drawn from theses produced during the academic year 2024-25.
Keynote Speaker: Oonagh Young
Findings VI keynote address will be given by graphic designer and art curator Oonagh Young, who will discuss the importance of research to her creative practices. Her design work includes myriad stamp designs for an Post, books and catalogues for national and international artists and galleries, and exhibition designs for IMMA. Her curatorial work includes establishing the Oonagh Young Gallery (2008), curating the acclaimed Treeline Project for Dublin City Council (2017), and the establishment of the prestigious Merrion Plinth Art Award (2019).


The studio work of the presenters will also be ‘on show’ during the symposium, as part of this year’s graduate exhibition.
