About The City Beneath Me
Filmed at the ancient landscape of the Paps of Anú in Kerry, Charlie’s short film reimagines the traditional pilgrimage from the holy well at Shrone to the twin mountain peaks. The piece reflects on Ireland’s mythic history and the connections between people, place, and time.
Working mainly with analogue film and photography, Charlie’s practice blends conceptual, documentary, and experimental approaches – using the magic of light and darkroom processes to uncover new ways of seeing.
