Screen Skills Ireland & the National Film School Announce Start of Diploma in Series Production
Developed and delivered by leading industry experts from Ireland and the UK and supported by all three Irish broadcasters, Screen Skills Ireland, Screen Producers Ireland, and several leading independent production companies, the Post Graduate Diploma in Series Production is an exciting new advanced television production course, specifically for factual, entertainment and non-scripted television genres.
The quality of applications was high, resulting in a competitive selection process. We are very pleased to congratulate the chosen participants, including a range of experienced freelance APs, producers, editors, casting producers and production managers who have worked on popular formats for independent production companies such as Kite Entertainment, Iris Productions, Marmalade Films, Vision Independent Productions, and CoCo TV.
Over the course of this programme, the participants will work through modules that focus on the skills required to take up this senior role, including creative development, production, online and management skills. They will also be applying those skills across multiple genres in single camera and multi camera environments, along with industry mentorships and high-level networking opportunities.
Speaking about the Post Graduate Diploma in Series Production, Gareth Lee, Screen Skills Ireland Manager, said, “Screen Skills Ireland is delighted to support this programme and offer our congratulations to the participants, who will now have the opportunity to realise their ambition to move into the senior role of series producer. We look forward to following their progress on this course and afterwards as they pursue careers in the Irish TV industry.”
