IADT use a secure online document sharing service called Digitary + Parchment. Students and alumni can access and share their academic records with employers, other education providers, etc through this service.
Please find information below on how to access your information and some solutions to any issues you may encounter.
If you have any issues with Digitary + Parchment or wish to request a transcript, please email Margaret Murray on transcripts@iadt.ie and she will be happy to assist.
There are different types of documents available through Digitary + Parchment. These are:
Document Type |
Description |
Grademailer |
A grademailer is sent to all students at the end of each exam session. It details all modules taken and results for each of these. |
Transcript |
A transcript details the results for every year of the programme you have completed to date. A transcript must be requested. Students who owe fees are not entitled to receive a transcript of results. |
Parchment |
This is a new document introduced in 2020 for all graduating students. It is not available for previous years. This is a digital version of the parchment received at your Conferring. Students who owe fees are not entitled to receive a parchment or attend the conferring ceremony. |
Please see the document here for details on how current students can access their Digitary + Parchment account.
In order for students to retain permanent access to your learner portal, we strongly advise you to link your personal lifelong email to your account.
Digitary + Parchment automatically issues documentation to your student email. However, for students who have already graduated, you will no longer have access to this email address. So we will contact you to provide us with a lifelong email address to which we can re-direct your information.
Please follow the instructions below to access your information once it’s been issued to you.
Register your Account
Activate your Account
- Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email containing a link.
- Follow the instructions and click the link thereby activating your account – you’ll then be directed back to the log in page. You only need to ever activate your account once. Don’t miss this step – this is important as it confirms that you are the owner of the lifelong email address that you sent us.
Login to your Account
- Once you receive the activation email, you’ll be brought to the log in page
- Use your lifelong email address and password you’ve just created and you’ll be able to access your documents
- On the Login page, click the Can’t Log In? icon
- You will receive an email, follow the link, this will allow you to change your password
- Log in using your email and new password
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Resend your activation email.
- This is the same process as that to reset your password – except that a different process will be engaged in the background:
- On the Login page, click the Can’t Log In? icon
- You will receive an email, follow the link, this will bring you to the login page which completes the activation of your account
- Log in using your email and new password
- Make sure you have registered an account with Digitary + Parchment (see above)
- Recheck the details you are entering on the login page
- If your email details look correct, click the Can’t Log In? icon
- Provided you have already registered with Digitary + Parchment, you will receive an email, follow the instructions – this will offer you the opportunity to activate your account or, if this has already been done, you will be asked to reset your password.
- Please ensure you have registered your account using the same email to which notification from IADT was sent. This is the single biggest reason for not being able to see your documents
- If you are logging in with a provider, (LinkedIn, Google, or Facebook), please make sure you have verified your email:
- Log in with the provider / from the dropdown menu next to your name, go to your PROFILE SETTINGS / under EMAIL ADDRESSES click VERIFY
- You will be sent an email; follow the instructions to verify your email address
- Ensure that, if prompted, the verifier is entering their own email address (ie the email address to which you sent the share), NOT your email address
- Ensure your share is not expired or disabled. Check this by going into SHARING / click on your share to view details
- From here, you can click EDIT to change your share details
- From SHARING in the menu bar, click on your share to view details
- Scroll down to and click on the VIEW ACTIVITY section which will allow you to see the activity on your share, such as when it was created and who has viewed your share
- From DOCUMENTS in the menu bar on the left hand side, click on the document to view details of that document. You can see if/how many times your document has been viewed from the share details at the top of the page
- From SHARING in the menu bar, click on your share to view details
- Here you will be able to edit the parameters of your share, such as PIN code, expiry date
- You can also DISABLE your share so that the share recipient will no longer be able to view your document; you can subsequently RE-ENABLE your share using the same button.
- Additionally, you can copy the share URL and resend that to your share recipient. By copy/pasting into a browser and entering the associated email and PIN (if applicable) it will allow your share recipient to view your document
The system is not yet live for alumni (ie those who studied prior to 2016/17). We hope to start issuing documents within this academic year. In the meantime, you can continue to request a copy of your transcripts from transcripts@iadt.ie
Please provide us with:
- Your name when you were a student with us
- Your date of birth
- Your student number if you remember it
- Your lifelong email address that you wish us to use to send on the documentation via Digitary
Please allow 5 working days to receive your information so plan ahead and request your transcript before your deadline.
The Digitary + Parchment system is an online document sharing system used by educational institutions all over the world. Documents issued to you via Digitary + Parchment are secure and have been verified by IADT.
