Bláithín McLoughlin

Bláithín McLoughlin is a lecturer in the Department of Humanities and Arts Management at IADT. Currently Programme Chair of DL822 BA in Arts Management, teaching modules in Event Management, Arts Impacts and Digital Skills. Prior to lecturing, Blaithin worked as a software engineer and then as a manager, in the Software Localisation sector in Dublin and Paris.

Publications

Published a DVD of Teaching materials “Enterprise Case Studies”, for use in Entrepreneurship education at second and third-level, funded by DLR Local Enterprise Office, 2008.

Lectures/conferences

Invited to deliver seminars on Entrepreneurship Education at the Northern Artic Federal University, Arkangelsk, Russia. September 2017.

Conference Paper: ‘“Entrepreneurship education in the creative disciplines – reality or myth” for the ACEI Cultural Economics Conference in Copenhagen, 2010.

Research Projects

Masters by Research on the Economic and Social Impact of the Arts in Dun Laoghaire. Funding awarded by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, 2012.
