N-TUTORR Final Showcase: Transforming Learning, Celebrating Collaboration
IADT are thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the N-TUTORR Final Showcase, titled “Transforming Learning, Celebrating Collaboration.”
This prestigious event will take place on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, at the Dublin Convention Centre, offering in-person and online attendance options. In person registration from 9.00 am – keynote at 9.45 am.
This hybrid full-day event will showcase the impact and achievements of the N-TUTORR National Programme, celebrating collaboration across Ireland’s technological higher education sector.

Event Highlights
The N-TUTORR Showcase will bring together exhibits from the seven N-TUTORR partner HEIs alongside displays from HEA, the National Forum for Teaching & Learning, Edu campus, and IreL. Each institution will have a dedicated space to demonstrate some of the ways N-TUTORR benefitted their HEI IADT’s, we will highlight innovations in the digital ecosystem, immersive technologies, and AI, and showcase some of the transformative initiatives funded under the N-TUTORR programme.
Key zones within the exhibit area include:
- Student Zone: Highlighting achievements of student champions and featuring MyDigitalBackpack, where students can collect digital badges earned.
- VR/Immersive Zone: Showcasing VR and immersive tech projects to illustrate the impact of digital tools on learning.
- Maker Space Zone: Featuring 3D scans, Matterport visualizations, and 3D-printed artefacts from the N-TUTORR Immersive Technology workshops.
- App Zone: Presenting apps developed across HEIs to support student learning, including the popular library app, the re-imagined student services app at IADT + visuals of IADT’s HUBPOINT (totem screens) offering.
Keynote Speakers & MC
The event will be hosted by Matt Cooper, journalist and author, and will feature keynote presentations from experts, including:
- Clare Phelan, Project & Policy Officer, EUA
- Pamela Uba, Irish Scientist & Model
- Professor Mike Murphy, Board HEA & Prof Emeritus TU Dublin
- A recorded keynote by Francesca Maltauro, Directorate General for Education & Culture, European Commission
Plenary and Parallel Sessions
The event will include plenary sessions including a Presidents’ Debate on The Future of Higher Education’ plus nine parallel sessions across various areas, including:
- Towards a Shared Media Production Hub for the TU Sector – coordinated by IADT, Panel Chair: David Smith, President.
- Micro-credentials – featuring Elaine Sisson recorded talk re. IADT’s approach to developing Micro-credential processes, procedures and policy.
- Student Empowerment – featuring 4 IADT students:
o Sarah Healy & Natasha Cloran (presenting fellowship project: (Digital Pathways – Using Student-Led Design to Solve Employer Skill Gaps)
o Morgan Lynch & Rachel Harvey (showcasing fellowship project: TeamTool – a student learning resource)
- Artificial Intelligence
- Academic Integrity – featuring prestation by Rebecca Roper + 10 students from the GenAI Champions project
- Education for Sustainability (Climate Action Leadership + Climate Literacy initiatives for students)
- Workshop Trio: Explore/Experience/Empower
- Staff Training & Development
- Digital Leadership
Sessions will feature slide presentations, Gasta style talks, interactive workshops and panel discussions, providing attendees with rich insights into the ways N-TUTORR initiatives are shaping higher education in Ireland.
