Research projects
In recent years my research areas have involved Engineering Education, electrical/electronics technology and fire detection systems. I have also been undertaking electrical/electronic design activities for a joint venture between IADT/FACT and the Naughton Institute at Trinity College in the area of nano-materials

Awards + Achievements
Outside of my direct role at IADT, I have achievements in research proposal synthesis and screenwriting.
GATEWAY Proposal (2004): genesis of the project concept and manager of the proposal for the European -wide project, to be funded by the Leonardo Da Vinci programme. Enlistment of most of the nine project partners in the Republic of Ireland, the UK, Belgium, Slovenia, Slovakia.
