I lecture in Image-making and Typography and my teaching is informed by my experiences working as a graphic designer in the Netherlands, UK and Ireland. Whilst primarily a design educator, I also continue to run a small communication design practice.'

Research projects
My research centres on the design and development of teaching and learning methodologies and curriculum design. This contributes to the ongoing evolution of module and programme curricula in both BA and MA programmes across Faculty. I have been an NCCA Education Consultant for the redesign of the Junior and Leaving Cert. Cycle in Art, Craft, Design. From 2012-2015, I was a member of the inaugural Curatorial Panel for the 100 Archive, an on-line archive for Irish Visual Communication Design.
Other
Alongside my teaching and programme chair roles on the BA [Hons] Visual Communication Design at IADT, I have recently contributed as visiting lecturer to design programmes in both Aalto University, Helsinki, Finland and ASP Katowice in Poland. I continue to serve on a number of Institute committees and working groups concerning the institute’s exhibition, communication and online strategies. I am a previous Programme Chair of the BA [Hons] Interactive Media, 2005-06, have sat on IADT Academic Council and have contributed to the development of a number of BA and MA programmes including Ba [Hons] Visual Communication, MSc. CyberPsychology and MA. Digital Entrepreneurship. I have also co-edited a number of in-house IADT publications in recent years.
I was External Examiner to the BA [Hons] Visual Communication programme in Limerick Institute of Technology, 2008-2011.
