IADT representation at The National Menopause Summit

The day was a fact-based event designed to inform and support women. While at the same time pushing for changes in workplace, healthcare and government policies.
IADT Researcher Paula Maher who is working with the Faculty of Enterprise and Humanities on the Working Women and the Menopause project joined a panel discussion on Menopause and the workplace with Karen McGowan, President INMO, Kay McCarthy Founder and CEO MCCP and Fania Stoney, Business Development Strategist, Great Places to Work.
IADT’s research on the impact of the menopause on careers of women working in the higher education sector, was well received with an agreement that this is valuable work to address one aspect of gender inequality in the Higher Education sector.
Paula’s research is still ongoing, findings will be presented at a colloquium on the 28th April in the DLR Lexicon. Further details will follow.
