N-TUTORR Final Showcase: Transforming Learning, Celebrating Collaboration
The N-TUTORR partnership is delighted to highlight the success of the N-TUTORR Final Showcase, titled “Transforming Learning, Celebrating Collaboration.”
The prestigious event took place on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, at the Convention Centre in Dublin. Close to 400 attended in person, while online attendance was over 300.
Event Highlights
The N-TUTORR Showcase brought together exhibits from the seven N-TUTORR partner HEIs, displays from the Higher Education Authority, the National Forum for Teaching & Learning, and the Irish Research e-Library (IreL).
IADT had several dedicated spaces to demonstrate how N-TUTORR benefits students and staff. Innovations in the digital ecosystem, immersive technologies, and AI were highlighted, as were some of the transformative initiatives funded under the N-TUTORR programme.
Keynote Speakers & MC
The event was MC’d by Matt Cooper, journalist and author, and featured keynote presentations from experts, including:

· Pamela Uba, Irish Scientist & Model
· Professor Mike Murphy, Board HEA & Prof Emeritus TU Dublin
· Keynote by Francesca Maltauro, Directorate General for Education & Culture, European Commission
Plenary and Parallel Sessions
A series of plenary sessions, including a Presidents’ Debate on The Future of Higher Education of all 7 presidents of the N-TUTORR partnership, including David Smith.
Nine parallel sessions took place across various topical areas, including:
Towards a Shared Media Production Hub for the TU Sector – coordinated by IADT, Panel Chair: Rónán Ó Muirthile.
Micro-credentials – featuring Elaine Sisson highlighting IADT’s approach to developing Micro-credential processes, procedures and policy.
The artificial Intelligence session featured a presentation by Rebecca Roper and students from the national all-partnership GenAI Champions project, as well as workshops on Education for Sustainability and Staff Training and development initiatives.
IADT Students participated in Gasta-style presentations and panel discussions and presented a selection of IADT fellowship projects:
Sarah Healy & Natasha Cloran (presenting fellowship project: (Digital Pathways – Using Student-Led Design to Solve Employer Skill Gaps) Academic Lead: John Greaney.
Morgan Lynch (showcasing fellowship project: TeamTool – a student learning resource) and panel discussion member. Academic Lead: Hannah Barton & Grainne Carroll.
Cormac Lalor – demonstrating the Echo – Interactive Video Project. Academic Lead: Marian McDonnell & Dave Keating.
Jake Black – Re-imagining Student Services App. Academic Lead: Stefan Paz Berrios.
The event, which marked the end of the N-TUTORR National Programme, showcased its impact and achievements and celebrated collaboration across Ireland’s technological higher education sector.
