NFS Lecture Series
National Film School Lectures
Since its inception in 2004, our annual series of NFS Lectures has introduced 75 leading international practitioners from ten countries to our students. Thirty of them are Academy Award® nominees and between them they have received 77 Oscar® nominations. They have also won Golden Globes, Primetime Emmy Awards®, BAFTAs, Césars, European Film Academy Awards, Annies, and IFTAs. The series is supported by Bord Scannán na hÉireann / The Irish Film Board.

Peter Foott
The National Film School in IADT has added Irish director, writer and producer Peter Foott to its lecture series in association with Bord Scannán na hÉireann / The Irish Film Board.
A graduate of IADT Peter Foott is a filmmaker with prizes from Venice Film Festival and The Irish Film & Television Awards (IFTA) where he won best TV moment of the year. His debut feature film The Young Offenders, which had the widest Irish cinematic release of 2016 and made over €1.2 million at the Irish box office, won Best Irish Feature at the Galway Film Fleadh.
Prior to this he was creator, writer and producer of RTÉ’s hit comedy show, The Fear and a producer, writer and director on RTÉ’s longest running comedy show Republic Of Telly.
This lecture is taking place on Tuesday, 21 March at 6.00pm in room A019, IADT and is a free event for all to attend.
