Update on Exams and Assessments for all IADT Students + Staff
Further to my communication of 27.03.2020
Following a week of extensive consultation with partners across the higher education sector, and taking guidance from the Department of Education, IADT will now commit to providing a mechanism for all of our students to complete their studies and undertake examinations and assessments remotely.
For our award year students in both Faculties, we will provide alternative online and remote assessment procedures that will ensure award standards and discipline-specific priorities are adhered to.
Collectively Institutes within the Technological sector have given the assurance that no student will be disadvantaged as a result of the contingency plans that have been put in place, and no student will be unnecessarily delayed.
As previously stated we understand and acknowledge that the changes imposed upon us all, during this unprecedented crisis may present difficulties to some students.
In every instance IADT will make best efforts to accommodate their concern, however, if a student is unable to complete by reason of ill health, access to technology, family responsibilities or any other reasonable concern, they will be entitled to a deferral without any academic or financial penalty.
The health and wellbeing of students is of primary importance and will continue to be so during this period of change and disruption.
Our revised Exam Schedule has been published today and all students undertaking other modes of assessments will receive details and clarification from their Programme Chairs early next week.
