Young Women in Technology 17th – 19th June
Young Woman in Technology is a 3-day camp for girls from 3rd to 5th year of school where participants will explore lots of different creative technologies.
The camp promises to be fun and inspiring with lots of hands-on experience. Participants will engage in a range of activities such as digital story-telling, creating games and programming robots.
No prior experience is necessary.

Workshops over the three days will include:
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving - Students will develop critical thinking and problem solving skills by carrying out a number of non-technical games/tasks.
- Creative Coding using the Processing Language - Learn the basics of programming using Processing (https://processing.org/)
- Digital Story-Telling - Students will work in teams taking photos around campus. They will use these photos to create a digital story.
- Games Development - The framework Phaser will be used to develop a simple game (https://phaser.io/)
- Sphero Robotics and Problem Solving - This workshop will involve programming Sphero robotic balls. Students will program the balls to make their way around an obstacle course built by the students. (www.sphero.com/education/)
Attendance is FREE of charge.
