Meeting of the “Three Layers of telling a story” project
“Three Layers” is an initiative of seven of Europe’s most renowned art, film and theatre universities providing the best puppetry, cinematography and applied theatre university education. The aim of the program is to raise the number of international postgraduate opportunities in the field of “Storytelling”.
The leader of the Cinematography work package is János Vecsernyés, head teacher in the Cinematography Department of the University of Theatre and Film Arts Budapest. Matt Skinner and Barry Dignam are the Cinematography and Directing teachers from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology's (IADT), Ireland, Elen Lotman, the cinematography teacher of the Baltic Film and Television School of Tallin University in Estonia.
During the project meeting, the partners prepared the second application of the planned Cinematography joint master and evaluated the implementation of the “3 layers” project. The participants finalized the programme of the cinematography day of the “3 layers” conference that will be held on 18-19 and 22 January 2016 in Budapest with lectures not only from the European partner universities but from Chinese, English and German universities as well.
