Damien currently lectures across the BA (Hons) in Animation, The MA in 3D Animation and is the chair of the postgraduate Certificate in Production Management for Animation.
He is currently an academic lead representing IADT on the development of the Europen Film University Alliance (FilmEU).
My current research concerns Irish Animation Heritage and is in collaboration with Dr Sherra Murphy.
Damien’s work has screened in over 150 international animation and film festivals such as Sundance, Annecy, Anifest Zagreb, Telluride, AFI Fest amongst others.
Damien has curated international retrospective screenings of National Film School Animation graduate films as part of:

- Anifest Zagreb 2019, Zagreb, Croatia
Damien produced the multi award winning short film ‘A COAT MADE DARK’ directed by Jack O’Shea. This project was awarded Screen Ireland funding under the frameworks scheme. On completion it was awarded the following international prizes:
