Bryan Jardim Fleming | Creative Music Production
Tell us about your current job and career path?
I work for Music Generation South Dublin. My roles include:
Delivering performance music education to children and young people in primary schools and in Music Generation HUBS.
Co-creator of ‘AMP’ (Access Music Production) – A music production CPD workshop tailored and delivered to Music Generation educators nationwide.
Creator and facilitator of ‘The Hangout Sessions’ – Informal music sessions for young people to jam together, and play the music that they want to play, in a relaxed atmosphere with their peers.
I also run my own private music classes and recording sessions in my music studio in Rathfarnham.
Did you enjoy your time in CMP?
I honestly loved my time there so much! The course was great, well-structured, covering a very wide range of aspects in music production; from electronics to music composition. I loved the freedom of the course and how it encouraged creativity, allowing for all sorts of major projects from myself and peers. Finally, the assignment and practical based approach to learning was a big win for me.
The lecturers and staff involved in running the Creative Music Production Degree were fantastic and easy to talk to. The course itself was extremely engaging and it inspired me to do my best.
How did it help you with your career?
Completing the Creative Music Production degree helped me become a far better music producer, sound engineer and musician, improving every aspect of my skills. It also gave me plenty of soft skills that I’ve brought to other areas of work.
I received direct help in designing my website. It has really made me stand out above the competition and as a result has secured me a substantial amount of work that continues to grow to this day.
It has given me the confidence to take on projects that I otherwise wouldn’t have had the self-belief to tackle. One in particular was the creation and delivery of the AMP course to Music Generation Educators nationwide.
I can’t recommend the Creative Music Production degree enough. Do it, and give it your all!
