Young Women in Film
As part of the national strategy to ensure the growth of women working in the film industry the National Film School at the Institute of Art, Design + Technology will deliver the first ever “Young Women in Film” Masterclass for transition year students.
The National Film School in partnership with Young Irish Film Makers, brings Stephanie Preissner, Scriptwriter and Producer, “Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope” and Neasa Hardiman who has worked with Amazon, BBC, Channel Four, ITV and RTÉ and many other premier Sound Designers, Editors and Cinematographers to IADT for this masterclass. They’ll work with Ireland’s creative leaders of the future, over an action-packed, hands-on three days, to give them an inside look at all aspects of working in Film and TV.
The National Film School at IADT and Young Irish Film Makers developed this programme, with funding support from Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Arts office, in order to address the issue of equal access for young women and to encourage equality in the Irish film and television industry.
