The series of workshops aims to inspire women from all backgrounds, with a particular focus on supporting women who have been absent from the workplace for a variety of reasons and want to gain the confidence and knowledge to take the next step.
Supported by the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team and the Department of Entrepreneurship, this workshop, scheduled over four days in June 2024, will equip participants with critical business skills, build confidence and help them to bring ideas to market.
Fola O’Grady, Lecturer in Finance at IADT said: “We are thrilled to offer this free foundational course tailored specifically to empower women starting a new chapter in their lives. Our goal is to provide practical skills and knowledge that will enable participants to take their first steps towards business success.”
The workshop will cover a range of topics, including effective communication, financial literacy, money management and modern ways of operating in business. Led by an experienced and enthusiastic facilitator, the sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging.
Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience within a warm and supportive space.
“Attending this workshop will provide women with the tools they need to navigate the business world with confidence,” adds O’Grady. “By building a strong foundation, we believe women can unlock their true potential and make valuable and transformative contributions to their communities and beyond.”
IADT has a long-standing commitment to supporting education and economic empowerment.
This workshop is part of a broader initiative to create opportunities for personal and professional development, particularly for those who have faced barriers to success.
