National Film School graduates selected for the 78th Venice International Film Festival
Animation graduates from the National Film School, Josh O’Caoimh and Mikai Geronimo, will screen their graduate film, in competition at the 78th Venice film festival. Their film ‘Fall of the Ibis King’ will receive its world premiere as part of the Orizzonti short film competition.
The film was written by Josh and jointly directed by Josh and Mikai as their graduate film from the BA in Animation and was completed remotely during the pandemic. As 1 of 12 selected films, it is unprecedented recognition of the unique voice and vision that these emerging film makers, as well as the talent of their classmates and collaborators.
