Autumn Repeat Exam Session 2022
All Autumn examinations will be held in the same hybrid model as in Summer 2022. There are a number of online examinations where students will take them remotely plus a number of on campus MCQ’s and written examinations. All other assessments are in the form of continuous assessment.
Please note that, due to ongoing building work in the Atrium Building, all exams have been moved to the Carriglea Building. The revised schedule is available to view here or below.
Please note that all examinations/assessments will be carried out under the health and safety guidelines in place at that time.

Important Issues to Note regarding Examinations/Assessments
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, examinations in IADT are being delivered in a blended mode of continuous assessment, online and on-campus exams.
For all forms of assessment, IADT expect the highest standards of integrity from our students, whether they undertake their assessments as projects, essays, online or any other form of assessment.
Please refer to the Learner Charter, which states the expectations for the highest academic integrity throughout your studies with us.
Please also see below two documents which state the regulations around the conduct of candidates for both on campus and online examinations. Students are expected to read these and be mindful of their details.
For students who feel they are unable to complete their examination/assessment, by reason of ill health, access to technology, family responsibilities or any other reasonable concerns, the option of deferral is available to them.
The deferral form, available for download here (scroll to the end of the page) should be completed and forwarded to the relevant Faculty Administrative Office. It is important to note that these will be considered no fault deferrals, ie there is no academic or financial penalty applied.
It is important to note that, if a student opts to defer a single module to August but then fails it, it may be possible to progress into the following year whilst carrying this module, as an exceptional measure, up to a maximum of 10 credits. This is not available to those progressing into an Award Year in the following year, however.
The final decision on this lies with the Exam Board. However, if they defer a number, or all, modules, and fail more than 10 credits, they will have to repeat, with attendance, into the following year (without being able to progress).
In the interest of fairness and consistency, regardless of any relaxation of the COVID-19 restrictions which may occur, the Autumn repeat assessments will, in all cases, be carried out in the same online format as those of the Summer assessments.
