IADT Songwriting Competition for Schools Winners Announced
A huge thank you to all the TY, 5th and 6th Year students who entered the IADT Songwriting Competition, ‘New Beginnings’. The student judging panel from the BA [Hons] in Creative Music Production had a challenge on their hands picking just two winners.
“It was hard picking between them all…maybe some of these students will be considering doing music at 3rd level and not to be discouraged if they didn’t win…..the submissions showed real, raw talent and I hope they will continue with their own music endeavors.” Lil Jones, 3rd Year Creative Music Production Student and member of the Student Judging Panel
We are delighted to announce that the winners are:
Kasia Emeh from Loreto Secondary School Balbriggan
and
Ollie West from St. Conleth’s College Ballsbridge
The winners have been invited to record their winning entries in Temple Bar over the Easter Break with assistance from the Creative Music Production Team.
Geoffrey Perrin, Programme Chair, Creative Music Production says that following the success of this year’s competition he intends to run it again next year, which is great news for all the budding singer-songwriters out there.
In the meantime, you can join Geoffrey and the team of Student Ambassadors for the Spotlight Session on Creative Music Production at 5pm, Thursday 13th January. Click here to register for this or any of our upcoming Spotlight Sessions.
