Vicki Anderson, a student on the Masters in User Experience Design was a winner at the Universal Design Grand Challenge 2020 Awards last night run by the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design (CEUD) and hosted by the National Disability Authority (NDA).
Vicki’s project, a voice-based app to assist visually impaired customers complete their grocery shopping, was designed in response to a research project for Musgrave Ireland and their SuperValu business who partnered with IADT. Vicki’s project is very well considered and based on real-life research with SuperValu customers.
It demonstrates how design and technology can be brought together in a meaningful application that can really make a difference to people’s lives. The project is a great showcase for the range of critical and creative design skills and professional experiences that students gain while studying on the MSc in UX Design at IADT.
The event was run by the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design (CEUD) and hosted by the National Disability Authority.
