Scholarships + Bursaries
Through our CFA programmes, we offer a range of subsidies and bursaries to help you gain the in-demand skills you need to develop your career. Below are details of the subsidies and bursaries currently available.
HCI Subsidies
CFA@IADT has been awarded Micro-Credentials Subsidy funding from the Human Capital Initiative HCI Pillar 3. Subsidies range from 50 – 80% of the total course costs for eligible learners.
Am I Eligible?
You will be eligible for the HCI subsidy, provided you meet the criteria below:
- be living full-time in the Republic of Ireland
- have your own, valid PPS Number
- meet the nationality/visa requirements. Full details can be accessed here.
- You will need to apply based on either being:
– Employed: working either for yourself or someone else.
– Unemployed: not currently working, receiving a qualifying welfare payment from the Department of Social Protection (unless you are formerly self-employed) and actively seeking employment.
Applicants will be asked to declare their eligibility for the subsidy. Once offered a place on a course, you will be required to complete a declaration form to confirm your eligibility. Full details of eligibility are available here.
CFA Scholarship
A CFA Scholarship (one free place in most of our courses) encourages the participation and success of learners from sections of society that are significantly under-represented in higher education.

CFA and Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet collaboration
Applicants must be resident in the Republic of Ireland to qualify for the Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet subsidy and not in receipt of:
a) a bursary
b) a Scholarship or
c) grant aid

Creative Futures Academy (CFA) supports the early and mid-career needs of creative professionals by offering credited NFQ courses / modules to people working in the creative sector. By offering learners the opportunity to skill, upskill and reskill, the CFA supports the professional growth, reach and impact of the creative and cultural sectors. CFA offers flexible, shortcourses, blended delivery: online and/or on campus and evening and/or weekend classes to suit your needs.
